Total purchase price (before tax): What the car purchase will cost you (the sales tax is not included).
Monthly payment: The payments for your car financing occurring every month.
Term in months: The number of months your car loan lasts.
Interest rate: The annual interest rate for your car financing.
Cash down: The total sum you are able to put down for your auto purchase.
Non-taxable fees (optional): Include additional fees for which no sales tax is imposed.
Taxable fees (optional): Include additional fees for which sales tax is imposed.
Sales tax rate: The sales tax rate imposed on this car purchase, expressed in percentages.
Trade allowance: The amount of money taken off the car sale price in exchange for any car being traded in as part of the purchase. It depends on your state whether the trade-in will reduce your sales tax.
Amount owed on trade: Total car loan balance that is still due on the trade-in.
No sales tax deduction for trade-in: Check this box if your state calculates the sales tax on your full car purchase price and does not allow deductions for trade-ins.
